In summary, the Ryzen AI 9 365 shows tangible performance gains over the Ryzen Z1 Extreme, particularly in single- and multi-core applications, as well as games running at lower TDP levels. However, these improvements are modest, and the performance gap narrows at higher TDP levels.

 

If you already own a portable device with the Z1 Extreme, upgrading to a device with the Ryzen AI 9 365 might not be necessary. However, for those in the market for a new gadget and not currently using a Z1 Extreme-powered handheld, the Ryzen AI 9 365 offers a worthwhile boost in performance.
