Redefining the limits of what a small gaming PC can accomplish, the AtomMan G7 Ti is a powerful little machine. AtomMan, a sibling brand of the well-known MinisForum, capitalizes on its history of building dependable, powerful little PCs, but with a clear emphasis on gaming. Some design aspects from the MinisForum Nook range may be familiar to you if you’ve been following the development of small PCs, but the G7 Ti elevates everything with noteworthy internal and external advancements.

Performance and Hardware

The Intel Core i7-14900HX, a powerful CPU with 24 cores and 32 threads, powers the AtomMan G7 Ti. This PC is a real multitasking monster because to its combination of 16 efficiency cores operating at up to 4.1 GHz and 8 performance cores that can turbo up to 5.8 GHz. With 32GB of DDR5 RAM operating at 5600 MHz (which can be expanded to 96GB), this computer is fully capable of handling even the most taxing workloads.

Its NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4070 GPU, a laptop model that offers remarkable performance despite its small size, is what really makes this mini PC stand out. The GPU can operate at a steady 140 watts, which guarantees fluid handling of AAA games at 1440p resolution without thermal throttling. This is a result of the updated ColdWave Pro cooling system. Maintaining performance in such a small form factor requires the system to stay cool even under high load, which is ensured by the dual-fan design and large heat pipes.

Design and Build

AtomMan G7 Ti Review: Design and Build

The G7 Ti is a sleek, contemporary piece of hardware that stands vertically. Sturdiness and ease of installation characterize the provided stand. Fully addressable RGB lighting on the front of the device adds a modifiable touch that can be managed through software. Additionally, the device has a power button and a mode button on the front, making it simple to move between several power profiles.

I/O and Connectivity

The G7 Ti offers a wide range of connectivity choices. A USB Type-C port, a full-size HDMI 2.1 port, a USB 3.2 port, a gigabit Ethernet port, and the power input are all located on the left side. Although 2.5G Ethernet would have been good to have, Bluetooth 5.4 and Wi-Fi 7 more than make up for it. There are several possibilities for external devices on the right side, including a full-size SD card reader, a USB 3.2 connector, and a 3.5mm audio jack.

Software and BIOS

AtomMan comes with a feature-rich control center that lets users customize RGB lighting, control cooling, and flip between work and game modes. The BIOS has a plethora of features, including an advanced mode with numerous customization options for users that enjoy adjusting the functionality of their machine.

Gaming and Thermal Performance

AtomMan G7 Ti Review: Gaming and Thermal Performance

The G7 Ti fulfills its promise of being a real 1440p gaming computer in terms of gaming performance. Because of its effective cooling mechanism, the machine stays quiet whether it is in work or game mode. Even when the system was pushed to its limits, the CPU and GPU stayed cool during stress tests and produced no audible fan noise. In game mode, the GPU continuously reached 140 watts, giving demanding games the performance they require.

Internal Upgrades

The sibling brand of AtomMan, MinisForum, has improved this little PC over its predecessors in the Nook series. The newest Intel Core i7-14900HX processor, which has 24 cores and 32 threads, powers the G7 Ti. With 16 efficiency cores that max out at 4.1 GHz and eight performance cores that can reach 5.8 GHz, this CPU offers strong multitasking capabilities as well as great performance in demanding applications.

In addition, the G7 Ti has an Nvidia GeForce RTX 4070 GPU, which has 8GB of GDDR6 VRAM and is powerful even if it is a laptop edition. With its 140 watt maximum boost, this GPU guarantees responsive and fluid gameplay without thermal throttling.

Cooling System

The G7 Ti’s cooling system is one of its best qualities. AtomMan has upgraded the “ColdWave Pro” cooling system, adding two fans and a large amount of heat pipes. Even during extended gaming sessions, the system remains cool thanks to this sophisticated cooling arrangement, which can manage up to 180 watts of electricity. During my tests, the average temperature of the CPU and GPU remained well under safe limits, indicating that the system maintained good thermal performance.

Performance

Tests of performance show how brilliant the G7 Ti is. It achieved an astounding 2,831 single-core and 17,454 multi-core performance score on Geekbench 6. A multi-core score of 1,476 on Cinebench R24 demonstrated the strength of the Intel Core i7-14900HX. GPU benchmarks showed similar promise, with Fire Strike rating 27,878 and 3DMark Time Spy getting 12,878.

AtomMan G7 Ti Review:
 benchmarks

In terms of real-world gaming, the G7 Ti performed flawlessly on 1440p AAA titles. Thanks to Nvidia’s Frame Generation technology, Cyberpunk 2077 ran at 1440p with the Ray Tracing Ultra preset and no DLSS, averaging 87 frames per second. In addition, Call of Duty Modern Warfare 3 ran smoothly, averaging 122 frames per second at 1440p Ultra.

Even without DLSS turned on, other games like Horizon Zero Dawn and Hogwarts Legacy continued to run smoothly and at high frame rates. The system’s gaming strength is demonstrated by its ability to run these demanding titles without sacrificing performance or graphics quality.

Power Consumption and Thermals

The G7 Ti is a powerful device in spite of its diminutive size. The machine used 182 watts on average when gaming, peaking at 241 watts under severe testing circumstances. These numbers are well within the capabilities of the 280W power supply that is supplied, so even with high loads, the system will stay stable.

The cooling system of the G7 Ti performed exceptionally well in terms of thermals. While the GPU averaged 64°C, the gaming CPU averaged about 69°C. The efficiency of the ColdWave Pro cooling technology was demonstrated by the CPU and GPU temperatures being within safe limits even under the most demanding workloads.

Final Thoughts

With its small size and outstanding 1440p gaming performance, the AtomMan G7 Ti is a powerful and effective micro gaming PC. It’s a great option for gamers that require strong performance in a small package because of its powerful CPU and GPU along with an innovative cooling system. It’s a clean design, and although its primary use is vertical, it would have been great if there was also a horizontal positioning option.
